The Beauty of Dance is Only a Step Away

Careful! Dance is addictive...and so is Mary Hoedeman. Mary, a National Grand Champion and founder and owner of Country and Western dancing U.S.A., makes learning to dance fun and easy. She's been bringing the Beauty (and love) of Dance to people across the nation and around the world for over 28 years.

So far, over the course of her career, Mary has personally taught over 10,000 students, instructors and successful competitors and countless more through her library of instructional videotapes. Mary's career began in 1981 in Houston, Texas when she answered an ad saying "Dance Instructors Wanted, Will Train".

Within months she was winning professional competitions, a pattern that led her to numerous National Championship titles; repeated placement in the top 5 competitors in the world; and a 12 year, 340 day per year, teaching and performing touring schedule throughout the US and Canada.

In 1990 Mary became her own film producer when she, and her company, Country and Western Dancing U.S.A., filmed the instructional video called "No One Has Two Left Feet". By 1993 the Pepsi Cola Company had recognized Mary's talent and charisma and made her a national spokesperson.

Today Mary has a husband and two young children so her touring schedule is somewhat less than 340 days per year. But Mary's love of dance and her passion for sharing that love with others continues. Mary teaches locally in her hometown of Fairmont, MN; tours one weekend a month and continues to host a yearly Dance Camp.
