Instructors 2010
YOUR INSTRUCTORS FOR DANCE CAMP 2010!!!
Your Hostess, Mary Hoedeman:

Jacob Reide Jennings:
Jacob Reide Jennings began his dance training "later in
life", or so we will say (if one considers the brink of 18 late
in life). he started taking modern, jazz, tap and ballet to irritate
his parents while he was at Old Dominion University in Norfolk,
Virginia. Little did he realize that this mild form of rebellion
would end up being his lifetime career! When his classmate told him
that her ballroom studio was hiring male instructors, he called for
an interview not knowing what ballroom dancing really was. Then he
got hooked! Jacob taught at his first studio for a year, then
went independent at 19. Jacob taught independently in Virginia Beach
for two years before opening a studio with Nicki York Martin and
became the manager for Dance City USA until december of 2007, again
while in college. At 23 Jacob decided it was time for something major
and left his home, friends and students to move to Chicago and
continue his dance instruction under World Champions Tommye Giacchino
and Gregory Day. Jacob is a certified ballroom and Latin Dance
instructor through DVIDA and competes with his dance partner, Katie
Burk, in the American Rhythm and West Coast Swing circuits. He looks
forward to working with mary again and all her energy and cannot wait
to share his excitement for dance with you! Let's Dance!
Lynette and Brian Dawley:
Brian and Lynette have recently opened the new Cedar Ballroom in downtown Owatonna. They met at a dance class 17 years ago and have been dancing together ever since. Their journey has taken them from country to ballroom. They enjoy sharing their love of dance with others and especially with their 5 year old daughter, Brogan. As much as they love ballroom, they both agree that there is nothing better than a good two-step!
Christopher Van Houten:
